When Will Jannik Sinner Play at Wimbledon: His Previous Matches Against Novak Djokovic and Where to Watch It on TV

At Wimbledon, the remaining players are about to enter the penultimate round, with a match that is inevitably destined to make headlines: the current world No. 1, Jannik Sinner, will battle the ever-present Novak Djokovic for a spot in the final; at 39 years old, Djokovic is seeking his 11th final at the Championships.
The two tennis phenoms will face off on Friday, July 10, on Center Court, following the other semifinal between Zverev and Fery, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. Italian time. Live TV coverage is scheduled on Sky Sport’s satellite channels and will be streamed on NOW and Sky Go (for subscribers to the sports channels).
Sinner took a big risk in his first match against Djokovic’s compatriot, Miomir Kecmanovic, winning in a hard-fought five-set match. In his subsequent matches, he showed some rust against Nuno Borges, but went on to win in increasingly convincing fashion against Jenson Brooksby, Shintaro Mochizuki, and Jan-Lennard Struff.
Djokovic, for his part, began the tournament by defeating Wu Yibing 3-1 in the first round, while his match against Stefanos Tsitsipas was his only victory without dropping a set. After defeating Arthur Rinderknech and Roman Safiullin, the Serbian was put to a very tough test by Felix Auger-Aliassime: 7-6(10), 3-6, 6-3, 6(4)-7, 7-6(10-4) was the final score of a true marathon match that lasted over five hours.
Friday’s match will be the twelfth overall meeting between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic, with the South Tyrolean leading the head-to-head series 6-5. At Wimbledon, however, Djokovic has won twice: 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in the 2022 quarterfinals and 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(4) in the 2023 semifinals. Sinner, however, won their most recent match on the London grass, in the 2025 semifinals, with a score of 6-3, 6-3, 6-4. The two faced off this year in the semifinals of the Australian Open, with Djokovic winning 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
