Lazio Transfer Market: Gattuso Hopes to Sign a Midfielder Currently on Inter’s Roster

Gattuso isn’t the type to make demands of the club he works for. In fact, he hasn’t made any demands of Lazio owner Lotito. When it comes to the transfer market, he makes do with whatever is made available to him.

However, there is one player who would definitely make him happy. We’re talking about Frattesi, who currently plays for Inter but is somewhat on the periphery of Chivu’s plans, despite having a contract with the Nerazzurri that runs through June 2028.

Current Lazio coach Gattuso knows Frattesi very well, having coached him when he was the head coach of the Italian national team. He knows Frattesi could be a significant asset for his Lazio team.

The problem is reaching an agreement with Inter, which is seeking a permanent transfer for the Italian midfielder—an option that is not feasible for Lazio. It remains to be seen whether, in some way, the parties can reach an agreement based on a loan with an option to buy. There is also the issue of Frattesi’s salary, as he earns a rather substantial amount—more than 2.5 million euros per season.
