Milan Transfer Market: Former Player Brings a Smile to the Rossoneri: 14 Million Euros on the Way

After just one season, Tijjani Reijnders is leaving Manchester City to join Al Qadsiah. The Dutch midfielder has accepted an offer from the Saudi club, which will pay the Citizens just over 60 million euros. The deal also involves AC Milan, which will benefit from a clause included in the agreements reached a year ago when the player was transferred to Manchester City. The Rossoneri will receive 14 million euros.

The contract included a series of bonuses: 5 million for City qualifying for the 2026–27 Champions League, 2 million for winning the 2025–26 Champions League, 1 million for winning the Premier League, and another million if he is named Premier League Player of the Year. Added to these were 2 million tied to a potential Ballon d’Or win and 3 million tied to Reijnders remaining at Manchester City beyond 2030 (1 million per year).

However, the contract included a clause particularly favorable to Milan: if Manchester City sold Reijnders outright before 2030, the English club would have to pay the Rossoneri the full amount of the bonuses provided for. Thus, with the transfer to Al Qadsiah, Milan can celebrate an additional €14 million in revenue, one year after selling the Dutch player to the Citizens.
