Jannik Sinner’s schedule: first the birthday party, then departure

During this period of forced rest, Jannik Sinner is carefully planning his return to the court. There is still one Grand Slam tournament left to play—and, if possible, to win. The US Open is the world No. 1’s new major goal.
As is well known, the South Tyrolean is following a very specific training program to get his right knee back in shape. His therapy sessions should be nearing completion by now. As soon as everything is done, Jannik Sinner, along with his team, will begin focusing solely on the US Open.
First, however, there’s an event that’s very important to him. On Sunday, August 16, he’ll celebrate his 25th birthday. An important milestone for a young man who, in just a few years, has taken the throne of world tennis. By the numbers, he has won the same number of tournaments as Novak Djokovic did by age 25. That’s quite significant, isn’t it?
After his birthday party—which will obviously be a private affair—Jannik Sinner is expected to fly to the U.S. to get down to business and test his knee ahead of the big event at the U.S. Open, a Grand Slam he’s already won in 2024.
