Parma and Catania take the field at 6 p.m. on Friday for their match in the second round of the 2026/2027 Coppa Italia. At the Tardini Stadium, Cuesta’s team will test its strength following recent transfer market developments: the Crociati have said goodbye to striker Pellegrino, among others, who has moved to Fiorentina. The Rossazzurri, who play in Serie C, defeated Vicenza on penalty kicks in the first round. The winner of this match will advance to the round of 32, where they will face either Cremonese or Sampdoria.

Parma’s attacking trio is expected to consist of Lontani, Touré, and Frigan, while Ordonez will direct play in midfield with Bernabé and Keita on either side of him. The fullbacks are Del Prato and Valeri.

Longo fields his Catania side in a 4-3-3 formation: up front are Liguori, Cicerelli, and Leonardi; in midfield, Quaini plays alongside Mihai and Corbari; and Donnarumma and Pagliai man the wings.

In addition to the departure of Pellegrino —who was sold to Fiorentina for approximately 25 million euros as part of the major transfer overhaul orchestrated by Fabio Paratici in Florence—must also contend with the likely departure of goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, for whom Paris Saint-Germain has expressed concrete interest. The European champions are reportedly ready to pay Parma close to 35 million euros for the Japanese goalkeeper, with the possibility of a subsequent loan to Juventus still on the table. Up front, the Crociati have secured the signings of El Bilal Touré, David Romero, and Thomas De Martis.
