Fiorentina Transfer Market: Former Juventus Striker to Replace… Former Juventus Striker

On Monday, barring any unexpected developments in the negotiations between Como and Fiorentina, Moise Kean is expected to start at the Olimpico against Roma. It will be a challenging opener for the Viola, who have undergone a major overhaul starting with their head coach, unlike the Giallorossi, who have retained most of last season’s roster. Fabio Grosso wants to start the season on the right foot and is counting on his center forward, barring any last-minute transfer news. The situation could be resolved next week, once Fabio Paratici has identified a replacement for the former Juventus player.
Among the players being monitored is Beto, a powerful forward born in 1998 who currently plays for Everton. The Portuguese center forward, who plays for the Guinea-Bissau national team, is already familiar with Italian soccer thanks to the two seasons he spent playing for Udinese.
However, he isn’t the only option on Paratici’s list. In recent weeks, the name of Emanuel Emegha has also come up—a 23-year-old Dutch center forward who just finished last season with Strasbourg and is currently on Chelsea’s radar. The young forward’s profile appeals to the Viola management, which continues to closely monitor the international transfer market in search of potential opportunities. His candidacy could become more concrete should Kean be sold.
As for the negotiations with Como, the gap between the parties remains significant. Como has presented an offer for a paid loan of 5 million with an obligation to buy for 25, for a total of 30 million—a figure Fiorentina has deemed insufficient: Paratici has no intention of going below 40 million. Como is reportedly ready to make a new offer, using bonuses and a potential percentage of any future resale as leverage to reach an agreement, bolstered by the enthusiasm of Fabregas, who has already given his approval to the deal and who, if the transfer goes through, would guarantee Kean a salary of approximately 4.5 million euros per season.
It should be noted that Kean has never pushed to leave Florence, leaving it up to the club to handle the situation. On the other hand, Como has strong incentives to close the deal: with the Champions League on the horizon, the Como side needs players trained in Italy to comply with UEFA regulations, and the Vercelli striker—with 26 appearances and 13 goals for the national team—represents a nearly ideal solution in this regard.
