Celestino Vietti Announces a New Adventure
Celestino Vietti’s future begins anew with the CFMOTO Aspar Team. The Piedmontese rider has officially announced his move to the Spanish team for the 2027 Moto2 season, a move that marks the start of a new technical and personal challenge. Vietti will once again race on a Kalex, the bike on which he secured three victories and a total of 165 points in 2024, establishing himself as one of the category’s top riders.
The announcement comes at a time of great upheaval for the team: with David Alonso and Dani Holgado headed to MotoGP, the team led by Jorge “Aspar” Martinez has had to completely rethink its lineup for the intermediate class. The choice fell on a mix of experience and ambition: on one hand, Vietti, who boasts over 100 Moto2 Grand Prix starts with 8 wins and 17 podium finishes; on the other, Maximo Quiles, ready to make the jump from Moto3 after his promotion was confirmed during the summer break.
Vietti enthusiastically embraced the new adventure, highlighting the strength of the project and the trust placed in him: “I’m very happy to join a highly competitive team,” he told the Aspar Team’s official channels. “For me, it’s a great opportunity. I want to thank ‘Aspar’ and its team for the warm welcome. Next year I’ll be changing teams and bikes: it will be a wonderful and exciting challenge, and I’ll give it my all to fight for the title. That will be the goal for next year.”
