Jannik Sinner Proves Once Again to Be a Good-Luck Charm on Kimi Antonelli’s Biggest Day

It’s not just tennis: Jannik Sinner continues to be a true good-luck charm for Italian sports. After sending a message to Federica Brignone ahead of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics—which was followed by the extraordinary achievement of the champion from Valle d’Aosta—this time the world’s number-one tennis player chose to attend in person in Monza.

Sinner was, in fact, one of the most eagerly awaited guests in the paddock at the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Absent from the 2026 U.S. Open due to an injury, the South Tyrolean is currently training in Turin to recover from his knee injury. However, he took advantage of a day off to visit the circuit and watch the race, also meeting several friends from the world of Formula 1.

Among them was, in particular, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, with whom Sinner has built an excellent relationship. The leader of the Drivers’ Championship did not disappoint his friend: after staging a spectacular comeback, Antonelli secured a crucial victory that brings him even closer to the world title.
