Olimpia Milano: Lorenzo Brown Situation; New Option for the Point Guard Confirmed

The spotlight in Milan is still on Lorenzo Brown, the point guard under contract with Olimpia but off the roster since the start of 2026. According to rumors reported by the Israeli broadcaster Sport5, the American point guard could return to Israel, where he previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Brown, who sparked controversy in recent days by posting “Free me” (“Free me”), has reportedly been contacted by Hapoel Jerusalem, which is said to be looking for a replacement for the injured Jared Harper. However, no official offer has been made to the player yet; so far, only an expression of interest has been conveyed.

Lorenzo Brown and Olimpia have not yet reached an agreement to terminate his contract for financial reasons, and at the moment, the point guard is in the United States and has no intention of returning to Italy. The American player, who has been naturalized as a Spanish citizen, has played for Fenerbahçe, UNICS Kazan, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Panathinaikos in recent years.

With Milan, Brown played 13 official games during the 2025–2026 season—12 of them in the EuroLeague—before being removed from the rotation and the club’s coaching plans.
