England-United States: the probable formations
Likely lineups
England, which overcame Iran in the opener with a very clear 6-2 victory, will take the field to detach the pass for the round of 16 with one round to spare, and will do so in the match, valid for the second day of Group B, against the United States, which is coming off a draw against Wales.
The only doubt for Gareth Southgate is in attack, between Kane and Wilson: the Tottenham player suffered an ankle injury in the first match played in Qatar but is expected to be regularly available to the coach of the Three Lions national team.
In the U.S. ranks, on the other hand, who will take the field with a 4-2-3-1 mirroring that of their opponents, there could be a starting debut for Borussia Dortmund’s 2002 Borussia Dortmund class, Giovanni Reyna. Against the Welsh Dragons, coach Gregg Berhalter had preferred to field Josh Sargent.
Probable lineups.
