Nutribullet suffered a loss at the Unipol Forum against Olimpia on the third day of Serie A. After a strong start, Treviso paid a heavy price and ultimately fell 106-77. Among the visitors’ top performers were Russell with 17 points, Macura with 14, and Cappelletti and Chapman with 12 each, but it wasn’t enough against a Milan team that was on fire offensively.

“The game was heavily influenced by the first half: what we didn’t want to happen did happen—we faced a Milan team that was fired up at home after three losses, and we paid the price,” said Treviso head coach Marcelo Nicola. “We struggled too much with their physicality. There’s not much to say; now we have to keep our heads down and keep working,” continued the Nutribullet coach.

This marks Treviso’s first loss following victories in their first two games against BC Roma and Trento. Nicola’s team will return to the court at PalaVerde next Sunday against Udine.

Milan Poeta’s coach commented with satisfaction on his team’s performance to LBA TV: “We played the game we needed to play. Honestly, beating this Treviso team—which is brimming with confidence—in this way should give us confidence.” The coach also highlighted the quality of the team’s collective effort: “We played an excellent game with fluid offense; everyone was involved. Defensively, too, we showed the right level of aggression, and I’m happy: it’s a small step forward.” The key contributors to Milan’s victory were Burnell with 19 points, Diop with 15, and Cole with 14.
