Milan Transfer Market: Gonçalo Ramos Needs Reinforcements—A New Signing in January

Following the summer shakeup triggered by the team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, Milan decided to overhaul its offense, entrusting the keys to the attack to Gonçalo Ramos, who arrived from Paris Saint-Germain for over 70 million euros. A very expensive signing, but one who has yet to make a difference.
Ramos moves around a lot and often drops back into midfield to receive the ball, but he struggles to finish (he’s scored just once so far), which is why Milan wants to make moves in the January transfer window. Gerry Cardinale’s plan is to sign a player capable of acting as a link between the midfield and the attack, thereby creating more scoring opportunities for Ramos. The target has already been identified: Endrick.
The very young Brazilian talent has been unable to secure playing time at José Mourinho’s Real Madrid, as the coach has decided not to give him much playing time despite his excellent performances last year while on loan at Olympique Lyon. The Blancos are willing to let Endrick go on loan, and it appears there have already been informal contacts between the player’s entourage and some Milan intermediaries.
It also remains to be seen whether the club will need to make a move in the transfer market to sign a new defender following Matteo Gabbia’s injury, as he left the field in tears during the match against Sassuolo. The center back left the field just over a quarter of an hour into the match: in the 16th minute, he remained on the ground after a defensive tackle, unable to get back up due to the pain. He received immediate medical attention, was carried off the field on a stretcher, and then left the stadium on crutches.
According to Sky, there are fears of a serious injury to his left thigh flexors: tests scheduled for Monday will be crucial in determining the extent of the problem. De Winter came on as his replacement.
