Competition, excitement, passion, and the wines of Cantine Vitea: what a day at the Le Rovedine Golf Club!

Wherever Antonio Faravelli is, there’s always a good time. A day dedicated to sports, elegance, camaraderie, and Italian wine excellence marked the AKE GROUP GOLF CUP 2026, which took place at the prestigious Le Rovedine Golf Club, just outside Milan. The event, organized by AKE Group under the motto “Competition, Excitement, Passion,” brought together numerous golfers and enthusiasts, offering an important opportunity for the worlds of golf and the great winemaking tradition of the Oltrepò Pavese region to come together.

The event also featured the award-winning wines of Cantine Vitea, which were a huge hit among participants, earning praise for their quality, elegance, and authenticity. Thanks to the tasting organized during the score-handing ceremony, numerous golfers and guests had the opportunity to discover, appreciate, and purchase directly the wines from this historic Oltrepò Pavese winery, expressing great satisfaction and enthusiasm—much to the delight of the winemaker-golfer from Montù Beccaria.

The Metodo Classico was particularly well-received; produced from selected Pinot Noir grapes, it is an authentic expression of the region’s sparkling wine excellence. The Charmat sparkling wines—both white and rosé—made from Pinot Noir grapes also generated great interest, winning over attendees with their freshness, finesse, and pleasant character.

The Bonarda Gallesio was also a hit; this wine symbolizes the tradition of the Oltrepò Pavese region and is linked to a winemaking history that has long captivated even prominent figures in Italian culture, including the famous composer Giacomo Puccini.
