Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo together: Saudi Arabia comes out of the closet

Saudi Arabia confirms, “We would like to reunite Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Interviewed by MARCA, the secretary general of the Saudi Football Federation, Ibrahim Alkassim, announced, “The idea of the Federation is always to improve our soccer, and of course we would like to reunite Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi in the same league.”

“At the moment I’m not aware of any negotiations, I don’t know anything about Messi’s possible arrival here in Saudi Arabia. If one day it happens we would obviously be very happy,” concluded Ibrahim Alkassim.

Messi’s contract with PSG will expire in June but an extension of the agreement is almost certain: both the player and the club want to continue together and the announcement could come as early as in the coming weeks. The Argentine champion has a clear goal: before leaving France, he wants to win the Champions League.
