Red Bull, Christian Horner snubs Mattia Binotto: “There is no place for him.”
Horner shuts the door in Binotto’s face
At the end of the 2022 season, Mattia Binotto has ended his adventure in the role of team principal at Ferrari. The Italian engineer, who has been replaced by Frenchman Fred Vasseur, could make a return to a Formula 1 team in the coming months, which, however, according to the Red Bull team principal, will not be the Austrian manufacturer.
“There is no place for him here, I don’t know what role he could play in our team. He will probably have better opportunities in the teams that are further down the grid,” Christian Horner said very clearly in the words reported by ‘Auto Motor und Sport’.
Indeed, for Binotto there are rumors of the possibility of joining the Audi ecosystem ahead of 2026, the year in which the four-ringed manufacturer will make its debut in the top motorsport championship.
