Former U.S. outfielder: “These guys often get off wins before they even play.”
Jimmy Connors on his Advantage Connors podcast praised a number of tennis players who are making a difference on the circuit, particularly Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev: “Alcaraz, Sinner, Medvedev, these guys win a lot of their matches before they even get on the court.”
“Their opponents know they have to reach their level to compete and beat them. The three of them and a few others who are coming up are the future of tennis.” Medvedev in 2023 has won four out of five tournaments, Carlos Alcaraz two out of four, while Jannik Sinner won in Lyon and reached the finals in Miami and Rotterdam.
