Multi-year agreement between Reyer Venezia and Neven Spahija
Just ahead of the start of its playoff showdown with Sassari, Umana Reyer Venezia announced that it has reached a multi-year agreement with Croatian coach Neven Spahija, who took over from Walter De Raffaele this season.
“In recent months,” said President Federico Casarin, “we have gotten to know and appreciate each other, and now we have a mutual desire to continue what began in February. We are convinced that this relationship will bring mutual satisfaction because with the coach we share ideas, working methods and future vision. We are pleased to have found this agreement close to the playoffs because we believe it can give additional solidity and serenity to the whole environment.”
Spahija said he was “grateful for the opportunity to continue working for Reyer. As I said I had the desire to stay and find an agreement so I am really happy and I want to thank Luigi Brugnaro and President Casarin for the trust. Being the head coach of Reyer is a great honor for me and I also want to thank the staff and the players: it is also thanks to them that I have this opportunity.”
