F1: horror numbers for Charles Leclerc, never so bad
Monegasque called for prompt redemption in Imola
After five GPs, Leclerc is seventh in the drivers’ standings. The Ferrari driver has earned 34 rainbow points and only one podium finish in this first slice of the season. Definitely negative numbers for the Monegasque who, at the start of the World Championship, was listed as a possible candidate to become World Champion.
Analyzing the numbers, it turns out that this is Leclerc’s worst start to the season since he joined the Maranello stable in 2019. The figures do not lie: 57 points in his first year with the Red, 45 the following year. In 2021, a complicated year, he had still started with 40 points while, last year, he was already over 100 (104).
On the weekend, the Emilia Romagna GP will be held. Ferrari is called for a quick redemption. Leclerc, with new updates expected at Imola, wants to change course and try to turn around his depressing start to the season.
