F1, Charles Leclerc unveils his hopes for Monaco GP
F1, Charles Leclerc is blunt: “The car is less competitive, but I will try to give my best”
A few days before the start of the Monaco weekend, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc spoke to the microphones of “RMC Sport” about his feelings ahead of the home GP. “In the last two years we managed to snatch pole position, but on Sunday I never managed to materialize it. However, the situation is definitely different from last year, because the car is much less competitive. We will see how it will go, but no matter what I will try to give my best,” admitted the Monegasque driver.
“I think Red Bull, this season, is the team to beat on all circuits. But on a circuit like this it is the skill of the driver that will make the difference. I hope to be in good shape this weekend and be able to be competitive from Saturday, because on Sunday there is no doubt that Red Bull will be in front. Qualifying will be crucial, as on this track it is difficult to overtake. I’m convinced that if we do well on Saturday, we can play it on Sunday,” Charles Leclerc enthused.
