F1, not only Charles Leclerc starts from the pit lane
Logan Sargeant also starts the Spanish GP from his own pits
It will not only be Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari that will start from its pit lane in the Spanish GP at the Montmeló Circuit: in fact, FIA commissioners have confirmed that Williams’ American Logan Sargeant will also start from the pit lane for substantial modifications to his car.
Coincidentally, the 2000-class rookie would also have shared the last row with Leclerc, had the two teams decided not to make the changes on Sunday morning. On Sargeant’s Williams, the suspension and brake cooling system were modified, while the Cavallino team replaced the gearbox, ECU and battery pack on the Monegasque’s single-seater.
