VR46: Uccio outspoken about Marco Bezzecchi’s possible farewell
VR46 team manager Alessio “Uccio” Salucci spoke about March Bezzecchi’s future in an interview with Motorsport: “Our priority is to try to keep Marco in our team. If that doesn’t happen and Bezzecchi goes to Pramac, which we wouldn’t want, we would love to welcome Franco Morbidelli. He is an Academy rider and I would love to have him here,” are the words of Valentino Rossi’s right-hand man.
Morbidelli will most likely leave Yamaha at the end of the season, although the Italo-Brazilian rider is holding back at the moment: “I have a lot of affection for Yamaha and for the team, almost all my career in MotoGP has been done here. Since I’ve been in the factory team I haven’t gotten the results I hoped for, but I want to get them here.”
