Lewis Hamilton open-hearted about Max Verstappen and Ayrton Senna
Lewis Hamilton bluntly on Max Verstappen: “He has a very long career ahead of him and will be able to break my records”
After his success in Spain, the Canadian GP could be historic for Max Verstappen, as in case of success the Red Bull driver would get the 41st career success going to equal Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna. On this issue, Lewis Hamilton spoke during the press conference for the presentation of the race, who wanted to say beautiful words towards his Dutch rival.
“Max has done an amazing job. He has had an incredible career so far and he will definitely surpass Ayrton Senna. He still has many years at the top, so I think he can absolutely beat my records as well. Records are made to be broken and I believe that thanks to his amazing team he will succeed in this feat,” the British driver began.
Next Lewis Hamilton dwelt on Ayrton Senna: “For me it was incredible to reach a driver of his caliber. I was five years old, watching races with my father, and my dream has always been to become like him. I always wanted to get to F1 and do something like Ayrton and then be equal in terms of results. I think it’s a little unfair, because in our time there are many more races than in those days, but it was still a great honor to surpass him.”
