After the official announcement a few days ago of the permanence of sporting director Pietro Accardi, the statement announcing Empoli’s confirmation of Paolo Zanetti as the team’s technical head coach has also arrived. The coach’s contract will expire in June 2025, with an option to renew for one more season.
“Mister Zanetti will still be our coach,” said Azzurri president Fabrizio Corsi in the statement. “The will has always been to continue together given the great work done and to start from there. We have planned the new season and defined the strategies to face a championship that will be even more difficult than the past ones. On Paolo’s part I have seen great enthusiasm in wanting to continue with Empoli and to confirm himself at the helm of our team; together we are ready for this season, with the goal of bringing home a new, historic salvation.”
“The confirmation of Zanetti,” added Sporting Director Pietro Accardi, “was strongly desired by the whole club. I saw in him the same enthusiasm and the same desire as the first time, to repeat the past championship with the awareness of the difficulties that could arise but also a lot of conviction in our means. We have an appointment with history and I am convinced that Zanetti is the right person to lead the team toward the goal.”

We have our goal very clear, we want to try to do a feat that has never succeeded for Empoli, I am highly motivated and I will give everything to achieve the third consecutive salvation and give new joys to our fans.”
