Pecco Bagnaia first, Marco Bezzecchi second: Academy VR46 dominates in Assen and Valentino Rossi rejoiced at his students’ new triumph in MotoGp. Bagnaia took his second win in a row in Holland: no one had managed it just since Valentino’s first in 2004 and 2005. But Bezzecchi is not so far away and will try to undermine the Piedmontese for the title fight.

“Bravissimi! 1-2!” proud and emotional mentor Valentino Rossi wrote in stories on Instagram, posting a video and some photos of his two students as they congratulated and hugged each other on the track.
