Max Verstappen doesn’t bore Franz Tost
Tost’s words
Franz Tost, Team Principal of AlphaTauri, is not bothered by the dominance of Max Verstappen: “F1 is not boring, at almost every racetrack we have a full house, as was the case at the last Austrian GP.”
“The fact that ratings in Germany and Austria are declining is mainly due to the lack of local drivers: when I came to Germany in 1988, Formula 1 was a fringe topic. Then Schumacher came and the ratings went up and the same happened in Spain with Fernando Alonso.”
“Red Bull has built a very good car around Verstappen and can also count on a sensational technician. This, combined with the driver’s exceptional skills, is a perfect combination. No one comes close. From a performance point of view, I believe Red Bull can win all the races this year, but nothing is certain.”
