F1, Max Verstappen laughs it off: ‘I’m not bored’

Max Verstappen commented in Silvertone on Red Bull’s dominance in this Formula 1 World Championship: “We had a very good start to the year, we understood our car and race after race it is improving. But we are not standing still. It’s true that maybe the other teams are talking about more consistent updates from race to race, but we keep bringing something too, and that’s definitely a good sign. We still have a good margin. Of course, on some circuits it’s wider than others, but overall we have a solid base package.”

So much talk of a boring championship: “For so many years we were very close, or thought we were. Now that we’re finally there, I’m really enjoying the moment. I like what we are doing, what we are achieving as a team. People ask me if it’s boring. No, it’s not boring, because that’s what I work for.”

“All these years together with the team, everyone was so motivated to reach a position like this,” Verstappen pointed out, “so for us it’s a pleasure. Of course, we are also aware that others now fill the same role as us. We know what they are trying to do, but we are trying to stay up there.”
