Torino, two targets to unlock the market
Turin on Doig and Messias
Torino’s soccer market has not yet unlocked, and in the first two weeks of negotiations there has not yet been any incoming officialdom. However, there is no shortage of targets: in defense, the pursuit of Josh Doig from Hellas Verona continues; in attack, Milan’s Junior Messias is liked.
For Doig, in fact, the negotiation that seemed to be well on track seems to be stalled given the meddling of two other clubs, Sassuolo and Lazio. according to reports from ‘La Stampa,’ the Granata management does not want to participate in a bidding war but at the same time does not want to abandon the target, trying to take advantage of the money that would come in the event of disposals, with the names of Schuurs and Singo among the possible departures.
On the other hand, as far as Milan’s Brazilian striker is concerned, the idea is to find the right formula: therefore, the arrival of the former Crotone player on loan is not ruled out, the destination would be anything but unwelcome given that the 1991 class lived precisely in Piedmont his first years in Italy.
Torino comes from a season, the twelfth consecutive in Serie A after the promotion obtained in 2011/12, in chiaroscuro, ended in tenth place (confirmed the result of the previous season, albeit with three points more in the standings): it will be the fourth consecutive season without participating in continental tournaments, the stated goal is precisely to conquer the Europa zone next year. To achieve this, coach Ivan Juric has asked for reinforcements from the club, to ensure the presence of effective replacements in a long and wearing season.
