World swimming championships, Setterosa to avalanche against South Africa
Second consecutive success for the setterosa at the world championships in Fukuoka
After a successful debut against Argentina, Setterosa repeated its success against South Africa on the second day of the 2023 World Water Polo Championships in Fukuoka. The Azzurri women’s national team, after a contracted start, managed to find the rhythm imposing itself with a round 24-2.
The first part of the match was very complicated for the Azzurri, who closed the first eight minutes leading 2-1. In the second half, however, Setterosa became relentless, closing the first half with a 7-0 lead and a 9-1 total.
In the second half, Italy continued its dominance managing to match the score with which Greece had defeated South Africa (24-2).
On Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 3:30 there will be the decisive match for the top of Group C and to gain direct access to the quarterfinals of the World Water Polo Championship in Fukuoka.
