Ionut Radu remembers well the words of Samir Handanovic

On loan to Cremonese this year

Ionut Radu has started his new adventure on loan at Cremonese in Serie A. His tag is still owned by Inter and in his head there is still the mistake of Bologna.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Radu talked about what happened that night and the words of Nerazzurri captain Samir Handanovic: “I was down that day, it was a very difficult moment for me. I remember Samir’s words well – thus the Romanian – He was right, in these cases you have to get back up and work harder. Forget and learn from mistakes.”

Now, however, Radu is focused on Cremonese: “I’m in a team that has a lot of desire, which after 26 years is back in A with great determination,” he added. “That’s what I’m here for, too. And to prove what I am worth, something I could not do in the last two years.”

Then a quip about building from the bottom: “Yes, but without overdoing it, only when it can be done. If the solution is not there, I have to look for spikes.”
