Brozovic in Saudi Arabia, Zanetti’s barb
Brozovic in Saudi Arabia, Zanetti’s dig
Marcelo Brozovic left Inter Milan in the summer to move to Saudi Arabia. The Croatian è moved to Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr signing a pharaonic contract at staggering figures. Like him, many other champions have left Europe to try their hand in the Saudi Pro League and, interviewed by Marca, Javier Zanetti had his say on the subject.
"It's difficult to talk about it because it's a personal decision and everyone has a different way of seeing things. In my career it è happened to me more than once that I had to choose whether to stay at Inter or move to other important clubs, forò the scales in my case è always turned toward the Nerazzurri. I felt great at the club, I felt represented by its values and its people. This for me è has always been more important than any figure. But I cannot say that going to Arabia is wrong, everyone makes his own evaluations and chooses what è best for his career and life. These are personal decisions" he said.
Among the many clubs that tried to sign Zanetti was Real Madrid: "Inter was going through a difficult time and I could not leave in that situation. I wanted to be a protagonist and, from the first day in Italy, I felt very much in tune with the values of the club. That has always prevailed and è the reason why I have spent my entire career at Inter'Inter".
