Ducati: Bautista wins in Portimao and has his hands on the Superbike title
The second consecutive Superbike World Championship è now in the hands of Alvaro Bautista. The Ducati rider won race-2 of the Portugal round by overtaking Yamaha rival Toprak Razgatlioglu, who had already been beaten in a sprint in the Superpole race, at the last corner in Portimao.
Thanks to this success, obtained at the end of a splendid duel, the Spanish centaur moves to +60 in the standings over the Turk, and è one step away from triumph. On the podium along with the two rivals there'è Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Ducati), who got the better of BMW rider Garrett Gerloff.
The other Italians: fifth place for Andrea Locatelli (Yamaha), sixth Danilo Petrucci on Ducati. Out of the ten Axel Bassani, 12th, and Lorenzo Baldassarri, 13th. Jonathan Rea è finished only tenth after a problematic start.
