In our future, we see the importance of youth sports: with this path, and thanks also to a competitive first team at the highest level, we will bring thousands of new practitioners in the area closer to the sport and the practice of volleyball”.
By now, there are only five days left until the championship debut of the Allianz Vero Volleyball, scheduled for Sunday, October 8 at 5 p.m. at the Allianz Cloud in Milan against UYBA Busto Arsizio, and the desire to witness live a new season of the spectacle of great volleyball on the pink field of the Women’s League, è more and more alive.
AN INTERNATIONAL ROSTER TO DREAM BIG
.
Last sports season had ended after five matches in the Scudetto Final against Conegliano. Also of a high level was the path in the CEV Champions League, embellished by a brilliantly passed qualifying round, and with the challenge in the quarterfinals against what would become the European champions of Istanbul’s Vakifbank, in a confrontation that, despite the defeat, at the Allianz Cloud gave one of the most exciting shows of the season.
È from here that Allianz Vero Volley Milano restarts, putting at the disposal of coach Marco Gaspari and his staff an absolute level lineup, in which stands out the addition of Paola Egonu, MVP of the last CEV Champions League final. In the director’s booth will joust the confirmed Alessia Orro, team captain, with new-entry Vittoria Prandi. A battery of female spikers of great caliber, with the talented French Helena Cazaute, the Dutch Nika Daalderop, the U.S. Kara Bajema, as well as the best spiker of the last World Cup and captain of the Italian national team, Myriam Sylla. As opposites will act the Italian Adhu Malual and Egonu herself, on her return to the national championship and ready to excite the fans in Italy and Europe. Among the confirmed central players are the American Dana Rettke, Raphaela Folie and Sonia Candi, joined by Belgian Laura Heyrman, returning to Milan after two years in the Turkish league. Also the pair of libero è of absolute level with Beatrice Parrocchiale and the Dominican Brenda Castillo.
