Athletics, the candidates

Who è the’Athlete of the’Year? The Italian Athletics Federation’s year-end competition returns again for 2023. Starting today, Thursday, Dec. 21, nominations are online for the seven competing categories: men, women, team, male and female rising star, and male and female masters. Until next Thursday, Dec. 28, at 12 p.m., all fans will have the opportunity to vote by clicking ‘like’ on the photos of their favorite athletes, posted on the Instagram and Facebook profiles of the Italian Athletics.

For the purposes of the final ranking, the social vote will count for 1/3, while the remaining 2/3 will be determined by the preferences expressed by a jury of experts (composed of the Federal Presidency, Federal Council, Technical Management and panel of journalists) called to choose up to a maximum of three names for each category. The winners of the Athlete of the Year 2023 competition will be announced on Dec. 28, at the end of the voting process.
