Pecco Bagnaia understood why he is struggling so much
The words of Pecco Bagnaia
Pecco Bagnaia cannot be satisfied with fifth place in qualifying in the British GP, behind Johann Zarco and Jack Miller.
“Unfortunately we are working a lot to find the rhythm, today we worked on a very used tire and we noticed that the only one who did the same strategy was Mir, who then put another tire. So it becomes difficult to know where we are. This year it’s incredible how fast it is on this track. Doing 57.9 in qualifying for me was difficult, I didn’t have that speed that I usually have in terms of time attack. I’m struggling and I’m not feeling too good right now, but I think we’ve found something that will help us tomorrow and why we’re struggling. So I’m calm now.”
“The hard as a construction is similar to the medium, so there are not too many differences there. But having crashed in PL1 I never carried the medium until the end of life, then I had to do some comparison tests and it was better to do them with a tire that would go down a lot, so we opted to go with the used medium tire. Seeing from the data it seems that the hard with Zarco worked well, so we also have that option,” he concluded.
