MotoGp, Ducati: Marc Marquez charged and aware
Marc Marquez can't wait to get back on Ducati
It's a relaxed Marc Marquez who spoke at a publicity event held in Madrid. The Catalan rider è said he is pumped up for the new adventure in Ducati, but also aware that he must wait for the first official laps on the track to make judgments and comparisons with Honda.
"In Valencia I focused on myself,” said Marquez speaking of the post-season tests, the very first taste of Team Gresini’s Desmosedici, “and I didn’t want to compare myself with anyone. I wanted to understand the bike, but with eight Ducatis on the track you can compare so many things. It will be; in practice and in the race that you will notice the differences. I hope they want to compare the data of the other Ducatis with mine, because it’ll want to say you are fast, but even in Honda the data was available and it didn’t help much. There’è no doubt, però that having eight bikes on the track helps a lot".
No comparisons, then, with the bike he rode in the previous decade: "It's a different bike, I won't get unbalanced now. The 'riding setup è different, but in the end the goal è to find a setup that allows you to brake as late as possible and accelerate as soon as possible. In Valencia è it went well but è a circuit I like, we have to see what will happen; on tracks that suit me less".
Marquez also reserved a few words about his physical condition: " I am fine,” he said, “Physically I feel better and better and I tried to be constant as much as possible already during last season to avoid injuries and recover 100%. I feel calm, looking forward to going to Malaysia for testing, but without any particular anxiety".
