Vincenzo Italiano: “Season finale is more important than my future”
Seasonal goals precede defining the future.
Vincenzo Italiano is enjoying a Fiorentina side that continues to advance in the Conference League and is aiming for a second consecutive final in Europe. Decisive for the passage to the round was the 1-1 draw against Maccabi Haifa, which also erases for the purple coach discussions about his future. Or, at least, he postpones them to a more advanced stage of the season.
"This final season è too important for us – stressed Italiano to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' -. Our main goal è to repeat, but it è not easy. I then have a very good relationship with the company, with whom I often have confrontations. Regarding my future, we will see more later. Now the most important thing è is to finish the season well. And, above all, to give our president a trophy".
Trophy that could be precisely the Conference League, on which Italiano reflected: "We are among the best eight in the competition, and this year will come important challenges becauseé the level has è risen. We wanted to pass the round, after the advantage of the first leg, and the boys did well. This is proven by the fact that in March we are still in play in three competitions".
