Francesco Passaro’s fairytale at the Internazionali d'Italia continues. After defeating Frenchman Rinderknech in the first round, the Italian player è was the protagonist of another feat against Dutch Tallon Griekspoor. The Perugia native, in fact, è imposed himself in a comeback with the score of 4-6 6-4 7-6, after two and a half hours of play, detaching the pass for the third round.
Failing in the feat, however, was Fabio Fognini, who despite playing an excellent match, was forced to surrender to American world number 13 Taylor Fritz with a score of 6-3 6-4, after eighty minutes of play.
Also ending in the second round was the adventure of Matteo Gigante, who was defeated in two sets with a score of 6-1 6-3 by Argentine Francisco Cerundolo, who closed the score in one hour and eighteen minutes.
In the third round Francesco Passaro will face Portugal's Nuno Borges, while Taylor Fritz will face Sebastian Korda, who got the better of Flavio Cobolli.
