Inter passes the ball to Lautaro Martinez for renewal
Next meeting soon to seek a solution
Lautaro Martinez’s contract renewal continues to hold sway at Inter. Oaktree, the new owner of the Nerazzurri club, has reportedly put a remarkable proposal on the table: 10 million euros per season, including bonuses, until June 2029. Toro would become the highest-paid player in the entire Serie A.
An important offer that, however, does not seem to have convinced Camano, Lautaro Martinez’s agent. Those who manage the Argentine's interests have reportedly reiterated their firm resolve to want to close at 12 million euros per season. A decidedly high figure that Oaktree does not seem able to sustain.
Lautaro Martinez has always reiterated that he cares about Inter. At this point, the new management has passed the ball right to the Argentine who is, in fact, being asked to make a sacrifice for the sake of the jersey he has always worn with love. A step back by him is needed to get to the classic white smoke and continue playing (and winning) together.
According to several market rumors, the parties will meet again soon for a new meeting, probably decisive to understand the future of the Nerazzurri captain. The dialogue continues and there does not seem to be an air of rupture, provided that Lautaro Martinez does not insist on wanting a signing that Oaktree does not seem able to guarantee him. New updates on what is becoming a telenovela will be forthcoming.
