Alpine: Esteban Ocon’s farewell official
Alpine and Esteban Ocon part ways
Esteban Ocon will not be an Alpine driver in 2025. The French driver, by mutual agreement with the team, has decided not to renew his contract, which expires in 2024, and to leave the team after no less than five seasons, embellished by three podiums and especially the triumph at the Hungaroring in 2021.
"&It was an important time in my life to run in this Formula 1 team. Although I have been here for five years as a full-time driver, my professional career è began at Enstone when I was a teenager, so it will always be a special place for me. We have had some great times together, but also some difficult times, and I am certainly grateful to everyone in the team for these memorable moments. I will announceò my plans very soon but, in the meantime, my focus è all on track results for this team and success in the rest of the season" this is the comment from Esteban Ocon through his Instagram profile.
"We would first like to thank Esteban for his commitment to the team over the past five years. During this time, we have experienced some fantastic moments together, the best of which è was the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix with a memorable race victory. We still have 16 races to complete in 2024, with a clear goal: to continue working tirelessly as a team to achieve the best results on the track. We wish Esteban all the best for the next chapter of his racing career, when that time" comes.
These, instead, were the statements of team principal Bruno Famin.
