Ricciardo leaves everything open

Following McLaren’s official note announcing Daniel Ricciardo’s separation at the end of the season, the Australian driver explained the decision, “It has been a privilege to be part of the McLaren family for the past two seasons. After months of discussions with Zak Brown we have decided to terminate my contract with the team early and agree to part ways with each other at the end of this season.”

“I will announce my future plans in due course but, regardless of what this next chapter will bring, I have no regrets and am proud of the effort and work done with McLaren, especially the win at Monza last season. I have never been more motivated to compete and be part of a sport I love so much and I look forward to what comes next,” Ricciardo continued, not closing to the possibility of his farewell to Formula 1, where he has been racing since 2011, when he debuted with the HRT team.
