Novak Djokovic lashes out at audience after victory over Rune
Novak Djokovic furious
Nonvak Djokovic easily overcame the obstacle Holger Rune, defeated in three sets (6-3 6-4 6-2) in his match in the round of 16 at Wimbledon. The Serbian champion, however, did not like the attitude reserved for him by a part of the audience, probably the one cheering for the Dane.
"For all the people who were respectful, a good evening. For all those people who have chosen not to respect me…a boo night!" thundered the Serbian champion at the end of the match, in the interview he gave on 'Centre Court'.
"I know they were cheering Holger, but è it was just an excuse to boo me too" – Nole recoiled, responding to the interviewer who tried to explain to him that the fans were yelling 'Ruuuune' -. I don't accept that. I have been on the tour for 20 years. I have played in much more hostile environments, trust me. You guys cannot touch me".
Djokovic in the quarterfinals will face Australia's Alex De Minaur, No. 9 in the ATP ranking and seeding: "Alex è one of the fastest, if not the fastest, players on the Tour. But I am enjoying my run still at 37. I am looking forward to the match".
