Lorenzo Musetti hits final in Chengdu, Kachmazov swept away

It's final for Lorenzo Musetti at the Chengdu ATP 250. On the Chinese cement, the tournament's number one Italian tennis player ruled with a peremptory 6-4 6-2 over Russia's Alibek Kachmazov, hitting his third final of the season after Queen's and Umag.
The first and decisive jolt to the match came from Musetti. In the seventh game, the Carrara native, after failing two break points, managed to snatch service from his rival on the third attempt thanks to a precise forehand that pinched the line. After confirming the lead, the Azure has a chance to close the score already in the ninth game, but Kachmazov è good at resisting and extending the set. The tenth game è a real seesaw of emotions, as the tournament number one manages to close out the partial after as many as six failed attempts.
In the second set, the match's inertia shifted definitely to Musetti's side, who hit the break in the third game. The Russian could no longer keep up with his opponent's pace and in no time ended up down 5-1. At that point, for the blue è only a formality; closing the match on 6-2.
In the final, Lorenzo Musetti will face the winner of the second semifinal between German Yannick Hanfmann and Chinese baby phenom Juncheng Shang.
