MotoGP, Pedro Acosta’s first pole position at Motegi

Lots of excitement in Motegi, site of the MotoGP Japanese GP. At the end of a monster performance, Acosta took the first MotoGP pole position of his young career. The Spaniard recorded the best time, stopping the clock on'1'43"018.

Behind him, Bagnaia, who, with this second place, puts himself in an excellent position ahead of the Sprint, considering that his opponent for the race for the World Drivers’ Championship, namely Martin, will start only 11°, due to a fall at Turn 9 that ruined his qualifying. For the Spaniard, a mistake that could cost him dearly in the Sprint where Bagnaia will aimà to recover as many points as possible in the standings (currently è at -21).

The Spaniard, after the two free practice sessions, had stated that he did not feel at the top and was suffering a bit from the track. The fall may have been a consequence of this lack of feeling for the circuit.

Completing the front row was an excellent Vinales on an Aprilia while, following him, were Bastianini (Ducati), Binder (KTM) and Morbidelli (Ducati Pramac). It should be noted that Marc Marquez (ninth) had recorded a pole time. Time that he è was canceled for a "track limits" at turn 4.
