Dimitris Priftis charges his team ahead of the challenge with Szombathely Hawk

Reggio Emilia is preparing for its first European trip of the season. The red and white team, in fact, will face Falco Szombathely in the second day of FIBA Basketball Champions League on Wednesday, October 16 at 6 p.m. (live DAZN) at Savaria Arena. Both the Reggiogians and the Magyars won on their debut in the competition and are now leading their grouping.

After flying to Vienna and arriving after a couple of hours by bus in Szombathely, Vitali and his teammates held this afternoon’s training session at the Savaria Arena.

Coach Dimitris Priftis presented the match with the yellow-and-whites in a press conference: "We face the first European trip of our BCL against a solid team that è definitely the main reference of its league: it has a staff made up of players who have been here for a long time, know each other well and also play in the Hungarian national team".

"We will have to play a game made of great concentration, especially in controlling the pace and not playing a basketball 'wild' that increases too much the number of possessions. The starting point will have to be our defense, as it è has been in recent matches, but undoubtedly we will also need to take steps forward from the offensive point of view" concluded the coach of the red-and-whites.
