Inter and Milan, yet another breakthrough for new stadium

Yet another breakthrough for Inter and Milan’s new stadium. According to reports from the City of Milan, in fact, both the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri clubs have expressed their intention to want to build the new facility in the San Siro area.

There was a meeting in the morning between a delegation from Inter and Milan, represented by the clubs’ executives and owners, Oaktree Capital and Redbird Capital Partners, Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala and Superintendent Emanuela Carpani, with Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli. The meeting was also attended by Minister for Sports and Youth Andrea Abodi.

"È was presented to the ministers the’hypothesis of the construction of the new Milan stadium in San Siro, development of the surrounding areas, together with the guidelines of the Meazza stadium re-functionalization, already shared with Superintendent Carpani" reads the note of the Milan municipality.

"From all interlocutors there’è been appreciation and satisfaction. The clubs will soon proceed with the submission of the expression of interest useful for the continuation of the proceedings. In the meantime, we await the expert opinion of the’Revenue Agency to have the necessary framework for an overall evaluation" closes the note of the City of Milan.
