Mario Balotelli to Genoa, there’s a date: next steps in the deal

The new adventure in the Italian championship è always closer to begin.

Genoa soccer market: Mario Balotelli in Rossoblù è getting closer and closer to turning from mid-autumn suggestion to new reality for the Grifone. The striker, who has been free since the end of last season, when his adventure in Turkey at Adana Demirspor ended, is in fact getting closer and closer to undergoing medical examinations. For him, a former Inter and Milan player among others, it could be a return to the Italian league since 2021 (when he was signed for Monza) and to Serie A since 2020 (Brescia).

According to 'Sky Sport' it will be Monday the day of medical examinations for Balotelli, the next step before the possible signing by Genoa. Already found instead the agreement with the club: contract until the end of the season (and then to June 30, 2025) with a salary of 300 thousand euros per year, to be modulated then for the months of his stay at the club. There is, moreover, the possibility for both parties to release themselves from the agreement, should cases and conditions occur that have not been made public.

"We are completing some evaluations on our injured players. At that point we will make our choices regarding any currently released players. The various physical problems that have affected us have been a factor, and they have induced us to go all the way with Balotelli. Mario has conveyed to us a strong enthusiasm and the desire to join Genoa", commented to 'DAZN' rossobl&ugrave ds; Marco Ottolini.
