The Words of Quesada

“The ’last game we played together è was in Japan on July 21 – began Gonzalo Quesada in the press conference via the web following the ’lineup announcement – at the end of a very tough summer tour. We have been training with a lot of intensity, the players have been working very well, but I am sure that everything cannot be perfect, especially with the ball in our hands. There will be situations where we will be more effective and others where you will see that we haven’t played together for a long time. On the’other hand, I have a lot of confidence in this group for its ability to compensate for the lack of automatisms with defense, footwork and the will to fight".

“With the staff there’è was a very long discussion about who we should choose between Ioane, Lynagh and Trulla, becauseé the level of the 3è really very similar. In the end it made the difference of small details and the idea we had in the preparation of the game, and so we didn’t choose Jacopo, but è he was really close to getting into the lineup and had a very good summer tour”.

Also on the three-quarterbacks said “Nacho Brex è won the starting position thanks to his high level performances, but Marco Zanon è still on the bench and there are also other centers such as Giulio Bertaccini or Federico Mori, not summoned to allow him to recover as best as possible, who are getting closer and closer to the level”.

There are no players who, if they are not on the field, “we are dead”. There are players who are moreù ready than others, but the competition è very wide and so many excluded players are very close to those who play”

“It would have been very dangerous to change too much in 4 trainings. We have included 2-3 new things becauseé we want to implement them in view of the upcoming matches and the Six Nations, but we did not want to take the risk of making too many changes becauseé we want to give continuity to the technical project carried out so far” stressed Quesada.
