Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur calls for a final effort
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur is charging the men in red ahead of the last two Formula 1 Grands Prix of the season that see the Prancing Horse still fighting for the Constructors’ Championship. Here are his words.
"È time for drivers, technicians and team, both on the track and in Maranello, to produce the'last effort in the final two races of this season. Let's put our best foot forward. The second race of this final trifecta of the season sees us move from the desert cold of Las Vegas, where we have reduced our gap in the standings from McLaren by a third, bringing it from 36 to 24 points, to the much warmer weather of Lusail”.
“Even the tracks could not be moreù different, as from 90-degree turns alternating with long straights, we are competing on a circuit that offers many high-speed corners, a feature that on paper does not play in our favor. The Qatar GP è the last of the season with the Sprint format, which tends to highlight the work the teams do at home since there'è only one free practice session available”.
“There are 59 points up for grabs even though we are not the ones in a position to make calculations. For our part, we have to take care of the execution in detail and put Charles and Carlos in a position to make the most of the potential of their SF-24s. The very high level of this Formula 1, especially in the last few races, has shown us that every little detail canò make a difference and overturn even the scenarios that seem moreù consolidated".
