"Awake, alert and oriented": Fiorentina updates on Edoardo Bove

Shortly after the note informing about the video call between Edoardo Bove and his teammates, Fiorentina published on its official website the bulletin regarding the midfielder’s condition: "ACF Fiorentina announces that Edoardo Bove, after spending a quiet night, è was awakened and extubated this morning"; 

"Currently è awake, alert and oriented. He spoke with his family, Viola management, coach and teammates who rushed to see him as soon as they received the good news. Further investigations will be carried out in the coming days to determine the cause of the critical situation that occurred yesterday".

"From Careggi, doctors treating the player confirm that diagnostic investigations are continuing. "Fiorentina thanks the Careggi University Hospital, all doctors and staff for the work done with great humanità and professionalismà. Thanks also go to all the Popolo Viola and the entire world of soccer that, in this delicate moment, have shown great closeness and attention with their messages and support that have given great comfort both to the Club and to Edoardo and his family" concludes the note.

Edoardo Bove è felt ill at minute 20 of the match between Fiorentina and Inter. The midfielder had a moment of difficulty before falling to the ground. Immediate help was given first by teammates and opponents, and soon after by medical staff who transported Bove by ambulance to the hospital.
