Alex Michelsen reveals a touching backstory on Jannik Sinner

During an interview with the website of the "ATP", American tennis player Alex Michelsen è returned to the double confrontation he had with Jannik Sinner, who è won both of the precents at the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and the Us Open. The young U.S. player, however, wanted to say some sweet words about the off-court behavior of his fellow world number one.

"In Cincinnati I had a lot of time to talk to Jannik. He won that tournament, I stayed there because I got to the final in doubles. I saw him every day in the locker room. A witty thing also happened, which was that he told me that I was apologizing to him too often because I was trying to confront him" began the young American tennis player.

"Sinner understood that I was looking for advice, that I was following him, that I was trying to talk to him and challenge him on certain things and he simply told me not to ask him so many times to apologize for the fact that I was trying to learn from him. He told me only positive things and è was really kind to me" added the world number 41.

"Unfortunately, I’m 0-2 against him in the previous records, but I guess that can be okay becauseé è the number one player in the world" concluded Alex Michelsen.
